John Heaps, Visitor Services Co-ordinator for Hospitality Sheffield member Magna, has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Customer Service award at the 20th annual Enjoy England Awards for Excellence. The awards are the highest accolade in English tourism, celebrating the very best quality and raising standards across the industry.
John Heaps claimed the regional award for Customer Service at Yorkshire's White Rose Awards for Tourism along with the Hospitality Sheffield award for Exceptional Customer Service.
John has worked at Magna for seven years and will soon be retiring after a life in the steel industry. John commented: "It was fantastic news to hear I had been short-listed for such a prestigious award. I feel honored to have been nominated and this is great news for Magna too"

John will be attending the award ceremony at the NationalRailwayMuseum in York on 23rd April 2009 and will receive either the Silver or Gold award.
